January was nothing unusual for mid winter. We played in the snow, made cookies and just played around the house. We did find out that Sam is having a little brother!!!! We're all really excited.

Sam saw the dogs eating the snow, so he thought he'd do the same..lol.

November was spent doing the usual really. We spent some time with family during dinners, decorated for Christmas, shoveled snow and just played. Oh, and dealt with morning sickness, Yuck!

So I've decided that kids are pure entertainment. At least my kid; he thrives on reactions and attention. He is one of the most happy, over the top toddlers I have ever met. Here are a few pics of his awesome personality.

Alaska

My friend Cindy decided to move to Alaska recently; Sold pretty much all of her possesions and took her family away. Sam and I went to visit them about a month after they moved to give her some company and help with whatever. Mostly we just did the kid thing since her husband was gone for work and I had Sam. We did some site seeing in downtown anchorage, took a few hikes and went into Seward (where most of the fishing boats are). Overall it was a nice trip, and I miss my friend more now.

Family Boating

So since my family loves boating, I thought we'd get everybody out for a day. Then, I figured we'd just camp up at Jodanelle and anyone could come whenever they could. It turned out to be kind of a tough weekend for people, but we had fun. I didn't take many pictures, I've been really bad this year. Here are some fun boating pics.

Beaver Creek

This year we did a bunch of camping and boating. These Pictures are from a place called Beaver Creek. This camp spot is clear up Logan Canyon. This is June and there was still snow around us. There are tons of creeks, with yes, beaver dams. Really pretty.

Lake Powell

We had a family trip to Lake Powell in May; it was Sam's first trip there, with many more to come. We had a blast! Sam loves the water, and especially mud. He drove the houseboat with Grandpa, played in the sand with Grandma, and just enjoyed everyones company for four days...Sam loves family.

So I love spring!!! I feel like I can live life again, go outside and do stuff. We've been going to the park a lot, we love the park!

Oh we had fun! Sam got to play with all (most) of his family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin...open presents, and eat cake and ice cream, which he likes. Here are some fun pics!

Pocatello handball tournament

In early March we took a trip to Pocatello. Matt had a handball tournament and Sam and I just wanted to get out of the house! It was a quick trip, Friday - Sunday. When we go to these tournaments Matt has most of the fun, but we like hanging around watching handball. We end up in the hotel a lot for naps and early bedtimes, but its something.

First Steps

The last day of February Sam was coerced into taking his first steps. By coerced I mean, we taunted him with a beer bottle. So funny!

After holiday winter blues....

So not much happened in January, after all of the holiday craze I got bored with nothing going on so I decided to sign up for pottery. It's been a lot of fun to learn something new and have an outing once a week just for me. Here is a picture of some things I've made.

Also, I signed Sam up for "the little gym" which is a cool 45 minute a week class where he can play with other kids and learn some new moves. In this picture we could bring a friend, we brought Hudson and Grandpa.

Christmas....Finally!

Christmas is so much fun and sooo busy! We have so many family's to visit that it is always like tetris, just fitting in what we can wherever. With Sam part of this years festivities we really tried to be able to enjoy the time we had with others so we didn't spend much time at home. Christmas eve we opened our presents to each other and then went to the Stalsberg's Christmas Eve party and spent the night there; It was really nice just waking up and hanging out. Then, we went to Grandma Janet's for lunch and Grandpa Stewart's for dinner. We had a ton of fun watching everyone open presents, especially all the grand kids, all three of them, that I didn't take many pictures. oops! Here is what I have. For Sam's first Thanksgiving The Stalsberg fam went to Palm Desert. We played golf, went swimming, shopped at the street fair and had a delicious Turkey dinner. The plane ride to the desert was great, on the way back, quite a challenge...but we made it all in one piece with out upsetting too many passengers. Actually, Sam made a few friends as his favorite past time seems to be befriending strangers with his smiling charm.

So we decided to take a family trip to watch Matt play handball. Unfortunately he only won one game, but Sam didn't mind, he had plenty of people to play with. Sam was one of five kido's there and two were little girls who just adored him (I had a lot of little babysitters). Sam was a gem while we were there, off schedule, living in a hotel room, he just smiled and put on a great show for everyone (until it was time to go). He hated the car ride, and hasn't wanted to get into his car seat ever since. I think he's starting to get over it now though.

Sam loves to do a few really funny things, one of them is pull on his dads hair..well anyones really, but daddy lets him do it.

Sam like any baby loves toys, but more than toys he loves TAGS. Anything with a tag on it and he'll immediately start to reach for. His Snoopy has dog tags. He also finds interesting things to eat, he has a huge mouth that can fit about anything in it.

We went to the park one day since he loves to be outside and good weather is almost gone, he had a great time sitting on his blanket, but I don't think he liked the swing that much.

One thing mommy likes to do is play dress up with new clothes...look how cute!

So I finally broke down and converted to the dark side. Starting a blog is something I didn't think I'd do, but reading everyone elses and thinking about how awesome it is to see what everyone's up to and the fun pics, I had to do it. Having Sam and keeping all the fun cool things to myself is just not good enough; I need to be able to share them, and what better way.
